Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to our 4th Leadership Retreat Follow-up Meeting holding in Mile 19 from Tuesday November 18 to Friday November 21, 2008.
Our Leadership Retreat Follow-up Meetings serve to increase understanding of the very important role citizen-leadership dynamics play in freeing society from corruption in community democratic governance and economic development. The Meetings also provide opportunity to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing our community, and the world, today. You will be able to witness and interrogate our work, which is ongoing, to tackle priority development concerns, as you can see from the attached programme.
The Leadership Retreat Follow-up Meetings are designed to welcome your interventions, and help us have needed continuing oversights. Our projects include education initiatives for all, the building of school classrooms and toilets, a community hall and health centre, networks for cable television and the Internet, drainage of rain water run-off, the paving and lighting of street/paths, and the piping of safe drinking water to every home in Mile 19. We want to achieve more. We will be honoured to have you as our guest(s). There is no registration or participation fee.
With record attendance expected, I want to assure you that we will do all we can to secure accommodation for you. Every family in Mile 19, for example, is prepared to host at least one Meeting participant free of charge. Similar negotiations are ongoing with neighbouring villages to secure quality accommodation for participants on a first-come, first-served basis even as priority will be given to very important personalities (VIPs) and those coming from far away. Come live with us, experience our way of life and hospitality.
